3. Client Responsibilities

By engaging our services, you agree to:

  • Ensure that your submitted content does not infringe any copyright, trademark, or intellectual property rights.
  • Use our edited or developed materials responsibly and in compliance with applicable academic or institutional policies.

Lexicore is not responsible for the final acceptance or evaluation of edited academic work (such as journal submissions, theses, or dissertations).

4. Confidentiality

We treat all client information and materials as strictly confidential.

  • Your documents are never shared with unauthorized parties.
  • Only the editor(s) or staff assigned to your project will have access to your files.
  • All employees and contractors are bound by confidentiality agreements.

5. Intellectual Property

You retain full ownership and copyright of all materials you submit to us.
Upon completion of the service and full payment, you also own the final edited or developed content delivered to you.
Lexicore does not claim ownership of any intellectual property contained within your documents or the deliverables we produce on your behalf.
However:

  • Lexicore retains the right to the editing methodology, tools, or templates developed internally.
  • You agree not to reproduce or distribute any proprietary Lexicore materials (guides, sample documents, or communications) without written permission.

6. Payments and Refunds

  • All fees are listed in U.S. dollars (USD) unless otherwise stated.
  • Payment is due in full before service delivery unless a written agreement states otherwise.
  • Payments are processed securely through authorized third-party providers (such as PayPal or Stripe).

Refund Policy

Lexicore provides services of an intellectual and time-based nature. Once an editor begins working on your document, the service is considered rendered.
Refunds may be issued only if:

  • The project has not yet started; or
  • A demonstrable service error occurs and a correction cannot be provided.

Refund requests must be submitted within seven (7) days of service completion.

7. Turnaround and Delivery

We make every reasonable effort to deliver edited and developed content by the agreed-upon deadline.
However, delays caused by unforeseen events, client revisions, or technical issues may occur. Lexicore is not liable for any indirect or consequential losses due to project delays.
Final deliverables are provided electronically (via email or secure upload). You are responsible for maintaining backup copies of all files.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lexicore LLC and its employees, contractors, and affiliates shall not be liable for:

  • Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages;
  • Loss of profits, academic standing, or reputation;
  • Errors or omissions in documents provided by clients.

Our total liability shall not exceed the total amount paid for the specific service rendered.

9. Disclaimer

Lexicore’s services are designed to improve clarity, style, structure, and linguistic accuracy.
However, we do not guarantee publication, acceptance, or grades for edited or developed academic work.
Our editing and content development are advisory in nature. Final responsibility for the use, submission, and interpretation of edited materials remains with the client.

10. Privacy and Data Use

Your privacy is important to us.

11. Termination

Upon termination, all outstanding payments remain due.
